A Personal Connection to the Maine Coast
More than thirty years ago, Eric Bratt first discovered the coast of Maine while flying Navy helicopters in support of the Destroyers being constructed at Bath Iron Works.
Flying with these ships during sea trials, he spent days navigating the rugged shoreline at low altitude — tracing the contours of hidden harbors, rocky inlets, quiet coves, and densely forested islands that define Maine’s coast. What began as a military assignment quickly became something more personal: a deep appreciation for the beauty, scale, and character of waterfront living in New England.
At the time, he could not have imagined that decades later he would call coastal Maine home.
Waterfront Solutions Built Around Real Properties
Today, Eric lives full-time on the Maine coast and understands firsthand both the rewards and challenges that come with waterfront property ownership...
Over time, that early connection to Maine’s rugged coastline evolved into a deeper understanding of the unique challenges and rewards of waterfront property ownership.
Waterfront Tram Solutions was founded on the belief that difficult shoreline access should not limit how people enjoy their homes, properties, and time on the water. Every waterfront property presents its own unique combination of elevation, terrain, shoreline restrictions, accessibility concerns, and long-term planning considerations. Rather than approaching projects with a one-size-fits-all mindset, Waterfront Tram Solutions works closely with homeowners, builders, architects, and real estate professionals to evaluate each property individually and develop practical, customized access solutions tailored to the site.
As an authorized Marine Innovations dealer serving Maine and New England, Waterfront Tram Solutions provides dependable incline tram systems designed specifically for challenging coastal and hillside environments. Each installation is carefully planned around how the property will be used — balancing safety, long-term reliability, aesthetics, and preserving the overall character of the waterfront landscape.
From initial site evaluations to project coordination and long-term planning discussions, Eric brings a consultative and highly personal approach to every project. The goal is simple: help clients enjoy their waterfront properties more comfortably, more safely, and for many years to come.
Because in the end, waterfront living should feel accessible — not limited by the terrain leading to it.
